EGO HUMRICH WYEN has advised Maxburg and certain minority sellers (including the founders Lutz and Claudia Hausmann) on the sale of Securepoint to a newly established single-asset continuation fund backed by Accel-KKR, a global tech-focused investment firm.
Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Lüneburg, Germany, Securepoint is a leading provider of cybersecurity software solutions for SMEs, operating through a differentiated indirect channel model with approximately 5,800 channel partners and managed service providers, serving more than 125,000 end-customers across the DACH region.
For this transaction, EGO HUMRICH WYEN collaborated with an international team of advisors, including Evercore, Houlihan Lokey, Stephenson Harwood, POELLATH, Clifford Chance, EY, Taylor Wessing and ROCAN.
