EGO HUMRICH WYEN launches in Munich as Boutique Law Firm specialised in Corporate Law, Litigation and M&A

On 1 October 2015, corporate-commercial law firm EGO HUMRICH WYEN launches in Munich. Corporate, M&A and complex legal disputes, in particular D&O liability and post-M&A litigation, will be the focus areas of the new firm. The services of EGO HUMRICH WYEN are aimed at companies, investors as well as directors.

All three founding partners, Dr. Alexander Ego (37), Dr. Henrik Humrich, LL.M. (Harvard) (35) and Dr. Jan-Henning Wyen, LL.M. (Columbia) (36), have been Senior Associates with Hengeler Mueller at various offices, where they were advising clients in the fields of corporate law, corporate litigation and M&A. Ego and Wyen joined the Munich team in 2008 and 2009, respectively. Humrich started his career in the Dusseldorf office of Hengeler Mueller in 2010 and later joined the Munich office in 2014. Prior to the formation of EGO HUMRICH WYEN, Ego was Counsel with the corporate/M&A practice of P+P Pöllath + Partners in Munich which he joined in 2014.

All partners have international practical experience. Ego spent one year as Foreign Associate with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City. Humrich worked over a year in Hengeler Mueller’s London office. Both Humrich and Wyen are admitted as Attorneys-at-Law in the State of New York.

The future focus of the new firm builds on the partners’ experience in their key practice areas of corporate and capital markets law, private and public M&A as well as commercial and corporate disputes. The driving force behind EGO HUMRICH WYEN is the wish to continue the proven teamwork in an entrepreneurial setting. The aim is to establish the firm as a highly specialised boutique law firm for corporate, litigation and M&A.
