As part of a team of advisors led by Wolf Theiss, Vienna, EGO HUMRICH WYEN advised Swiss Sportradar AG in connection with its acquisition of the Austrian Sportsman group, which comprises several operative German entities.
The transaction involved, inter alia, the sports rights business, the betting and gaming services, the internet station Laola1.tv as well as the production company Unas Media. Certain participations of the Sportsman group, in particular the WRC Promoter joint venture and the fitness facilities operator Werder Sports, were not part of the transaction.
EGO HUMRICH WYEN advised in connection with the due diligence and with respect to certain transactional aspects governed by German law.
St. Gallen-based Sportradar employs a staff of approximately 1,300 in 30 countries and has offices in North America and Asia. In 2015, the Sportsman group generated revenues of about 90 million Euros with a staff of 400 employees.
